Are you passionate about representation, equality, and building a stronger student community? Want to make a real impact while gaining leadership experience, boosting your confidence, and meeting like-minded people?
As a Black Student Lead, you’ll play a key role in championing Black student voices at ARU. You’ll help organise exciting events, lead campaigns, celebrate Black culture and history, and work to create a more inclusive and supportive student experience for everyone.
This is an amazing opportunity to develop valuable skills, build your CV, grow your network, and make meaningful change within the university community.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Organise and support events celebrating Black culture, history, and achievements, including Black History Month and awareness campaigns.
- Represent Black students and ensure their voices and experiences are heard in meetings and decision-making spaces.
- Gather feedback from students to help improve inclusion, representation, and the overall student experience.
- Lead and support campaigns focused on equality, diversity, inclusion, and positive change.
- Work with student groups, university staff, and external organisations to strengthen engagement and support opportunities.
- Promote events and activities through outreach, communication, and student engagement.
- Help create safe, welcoming, and inclusive spaces where students feel valued and supported.
