Campus Coordinator (Chelmsford)

£18,353.90 per annum (Full time equivalent £25,695.46)

The role:

We are looking for a dynamic and motivated Campus Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will be ensuring students have meaningful opportunities to engage, connect, and feel a sense of belonging. co-ordinate the SU space on your campus to meet the needs of students.

This role is 25 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Ideally for us, you would be available to work from 9:30am – 2:30pm each day or very similar, however we are happy to consider other options. What you’ll be doing:

  • Support student-led community projects and events, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and to ARU's Access and Participation Plan goals.
  • Empower students to initiate and deliver impactful community activities.
  • Ensure community engagement activities are inclusive and accessible to all student groups, aligning with to ARU's Access and Participation Plan objectives.
  • Work directly with students to plan and deliver relevant events and initiatives within the area of responsibility.
  • Coordinate and deliver a programme of community-focused events and activities.
  • Promote initiatives fostering community cohesion, student wellbeing, and campus vibrancy in line with to ARU's Access and Participation Plan priorities.
  • Develop strong relationships with local community groups, university departments, and student networks.

Skills that will help you:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to engage with diverse student populations
  • Strong organisational abilities
  • Proactive, approachable, and confident in building relationships across teams
  • Experience working in a similar role or within a student-led environment is desirable

ARU Students’ Union represents students at ARU across campuses in Cambridge, Chelmsford, Peterborough, Writtle and London. In addition, we provide a range of services; academic and welfare advice, support to students running societies and volunteering opportunities in and around the campuses.
