Commercial Graphic Designer

Part time (21 hours per week)

£14968.20 (full time equivalent £24,947)

We're looking to recruit a Commercial Graphic Designer to join our team. As our Commercial Graphic Designer, you will play an essential role in planning and creating marketing materials for our on-site bars, cafes and shops across all our campuses. You will collaborate with other members of our team on various design projects, working closely with our Graphic Designer.

What you will be doing

  • Creating high-quality, eye-catching designs for traditional and digital marketing.
  • Managing multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery while maintaining the highest quality standards.
  • Communicating effectively with teams throughout the SU to understand their needs, present design ideas, and incorporate feedback into final designs.
  • Staying up to date with the latest design trends, tools, and technologies in the commercial graphic design industry to continuously improve and produce innovate design solutions.
  • Working closely with the Graphic Designer and marketing team to ensure deadlines are met.

What we’re looking for

  • Understanding of the hospitality industry's unique design needs and consumer behaviour.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and other relevant graphic design software.
  • Creative flair and a keen eye for detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Effective organisational skills with the ability to prioritise work.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Skills that will help you

  • Ability to present and explain design concepts clearly and effectively to clients and team members.
  • Willingness to receive and provide constructive feedback.
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines and work under pressure without compromising quality.

Where will you be working?

Your home campus can be either the Cambridge or Chelmsford campuses. There will be occasional travel between our campuses.
