Are you passionate about equality, inclusion, and creating safe spaces where students can be themselves? Want to make a difference while gaining leadership experience, building your confidence, and meeting amazing people?
As the LGBTQ+ Student Lead, you’ll play a key role in representing and supporting LGBTQ+ students at ARU. You’ll help organise exciting events, lead awareness campaigns, celebrate LGBTQ+ identities and culture, and work to create a more inclusive and supportive student community for everyone.

What You’ll Be Doing:
- Organise and support events linked to key LGBTQ+ awareness dates and celebrations throughout the year.
- Create fun, inclusive opportunities that encourage connection, visibility, and community.
- Represent LGBTQ+ student voices in meetings and discussions, ensuring experiences and concerns are heard and acted upon.
- Gather student feedback through engagement activities to help improve the student experience.
- Lead and support campaigns focused on equality, inclusion, awareness, and positive change.
- Work with student groups, university staff, and external organisations to strengthen support networks and engagement opportunities.
- Promote events and campaigns through outreach, social media, and student engagement.
- Help create safe, welcoming spaces where students feel respected, valued, and empowered.
