Want to make a real difference at ARU while gaining leadership experience, building confidence, and helping shape a more inclusive university experience?

As the Students with Disabilities Lead, you’ll play a key role in representing students with disabilities, promoting accessibility and inclusion, and helping create a campus community where every student feels supported, valued, and heard.

You’ll work alongside students, staff, and external organisations to lead campaigns, organise awareness events, gather student feedback, and drive positive change across the university.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Organise and support events linked to disability awareness, inclusion, accessibility, and wellbeing throughout the year.
• Represent the voices and experiences of students with disabilities in meetings and discussions across the university.
• Gather feedback from students to help identify barriers and improve the student experience.
• Lead and support campaigns focused on accessibility, equality, inclusion, and positive change.
• Work with student groups, university staff, and external organisations to strengthen support networks and opportunities.
• Promote events, campaigns, and discussions through outreach and student engagement.
• Help create safe, welcoming, and accessible spaces for all students.
• Encourage open conversations that increase understanding and awareness across the student community.
