As a charity, our mission is clear: to represent and support ARU students across our campuses in Cambridge, Chelmsford, London, Peterborough, and Writtle. Our team have made incredible strides in recent years, amplifying our presence across all campuses.

Now is an exciting time to get involved; we're shaping the future of Union with a new strategy for 2026 and beyond, and we’re looking for passionate individuals to help us build on our success. Our focus is on growth, improving services, and deepening our commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion.

By joining us as a Lay Trustee, you’ll play a key role in supporting this growing charity and in empowering students to become the leaders of tomorrow. Working closely with our Sabbatical Officers and Student Trustees, you’ll help guide our long-term strategy and make decisions that will shape the future of students at ARU.

You’ll also collaborate with the Chief Executive and our dedicated staff team to help deliver the plans set by the Board. This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact and grow with a forward-thinking, inclusive organisation.

We're looking to recruit a Trustee with expertise in one or more of the following areas: Appointments and Governance.
